Notes: | Label source: Some years since, this variety was very favourably received in several English agricultural periodicals; it does not as yet, however, appear to have attracted much attention in Scotland; and, in as far as can be judged of from its merits, w, hen grown along with others in our experimental grounds, these do not appear to be in any way superior. Ears long, but being loose or open, do not contain more than the usual number of grains, which are rather above an average size, and when well harveste, d, form a bright-yellow coloured sample. |
