Notes: | Label source: Obtained from Basket shop opposite Gunnesbury Station 23/1/28. The two larger plaits are new catalogue material; the thin twisted piece is from an old fashioned rush chair waiting to be reseated. Mr Holland: The three samples of rush tied t, o the label all appear to be Scirpus lacustris L. and so does the sample in museum jar (Rush ...Mr Scoggins, May 1920.) The pieces from the chair bottom (Borrer) are different, and appear to be Typha sp. in agreement with label (Typha latifolia) L.A.B. 24, .1.28. Hector & Son, Willow Growers, Willow House, Lying, Near Taunton.Supplies rush in rolls of about 1000 yds plaited as sample to Messrs Scoggins. W.A.
