Black & white photograph showing flax growing. Mr Dallimore, Herewith a specimen of sacking material made fr, om Phormium tenax fibre grown in the Argentine by A Espantosa who told me that he had an estate of 10,000 acres of this plant. Leaves of 10 to 12 feet long were common. See enclosed photo with the man standing in amongst the plants.
