Notes: | Label source: 'You will be interested to hear that we have dressed some of the fibre from the green stem and the tensile strength tests indicate that it is almost exactly similar in strength to the best pure manila tinder twine. Of course our supplies ha, ve been extremely limited so that it has only been possible for us to determine the tensile strength of the individual fibres - vascular bundles in comparison with that of manila of equal thickness. We should be very pleased to give you the figures if the, y would be of interest to you. You will observe from the small sample enclosed that it is also practically the same in appearance.
