Notes: | Label source: From seed brought back from Oregon by F.R.S. Balfour in 1907 Letter - Dr Melville, the cones enclosed are from Brigadier HR Norman, St Clere, Kemsing, Sevenoaks and are taken from a specimen raised from seed brought back from Oregon by FRS, Balfour in 1907. This is the first time that the tree has coned though apparently the other specimens grown at Dawyck have not yet done so. Curator 18th Feb. 1949 |
