I have t, o say these have now been examined with the following results: E.altissima - total alkaloids present .05 - nature of alkaloides indeterminate on the quanity available, E.fragilis- total alkaloids present .14 - nature of alkaloids, chiefly pseudo-ephedrine, . Neither of these are of commercial interest in comparison with the Chinese ephedra which is much richer in alkaloids almost wholly ephedrine. | ||||
