Notes: | Label source: Found at Akhmin Upper Egypt, 2nd century BC. I am sending a small piece of wood given me by the Keeper of the Museum at Cairo. It is a piece of an ancient coffin of the 2nd cent. BC. It looks like cedar and what is said to have been import, ed into Egypt from Syria at a remote date. |
