Notes: | Label source: Piece of wood from shrine of Tutankhamen. Left at laboratory by Prof. Newberry, (Address ?) The wood is oak. It does not appear possible to identify it specifically, but Q.cerris is suggested. L.A.B. 2.7.25. Letter to Prof. Newberry advisin, g name and seeking permission to keep specimen in museum. 3.vii. 25 The wood work of the shrine is made entirely of this wood, and the wood work was covered with tiles and the latter covered with gold plates. This is not correct for it is made of two kind, s of wood acording to Lucas. signed Prof. Newberry 5.July 1937. |
