| Notes: | Label source: Fls. in very showy infl. dark rose-red. Small trees, mostly from old bases, 2 to 3 m tall. Common. Very steep, damp moss-lichen covered cloud forest of large shrubs and stunted small trees with mostly evergreen leaves (A secondary community, heavily disturbed by grazing & cutting) now being converted to field (55 degrees !) With Embothrium grandiflorum (Proteaceae), Gaultheria brachybotrys, Eupatorium spp., Baccharis buxifolia, etc. At 18 km from Abancay on Cuzco road, ca 6 km. NNW (by air)., Map included. | ||||
