Notes: Label source: ? merged works of all kinds (See above) as the timber resists marine borers better than any other. Rated first class at Lloyds. The heartwood is practically immune to all kinds of Fungi. A very durale timber: Piles at Glasgow and Leith, Sc, otland, sound after 60 to 80 years service; Gates of Canada Lock, Liverpool, England, in service 38 years, enlarged in 1894 and the same timber used, and still in service a total service of 56 years to last report. Piles in British Guiana in service 30 t, o 55 years. The Polar Ships 'Fram', 'Discovery' and 'Maud' were partly constructed of Greenheart.
