Notes: | Label source: A close-textured fairly hard timber, yellow to brown in colour, with an aromatic odour. It is mainly used for flooring, although in parts of the State it is used for all buidling purposes, including scantling, lining, joinery, weatherboards, and fencing. The figure of the timber is very handsome when turned in to pedestals. It closely resembles White Cypress Pine (Callitris glauca) but usually regarded as being less durable and resistant to white ants. Height about 50 feet and girth 4 feet., It occurs chiefly on the western slopes of the Main Dividing Range, on poor hungry sands, extending as far east as Cessnock, New South Wales. | ||||
