Notes: | Label source: Sample A. It was semi-solid owing to the separation of Camphor, pale brownish yellow, and lighter than water. This semple possessed a strong odour of camphor.(Extract from report transmitted to Kew from Imp. Inst. (0.2011) dated 18.11.192, 7, JHH 12.1.28. Sample B which weighs 33 lbs consisted of pieces of stem 10 to 29 inches long and 1 1/2 to 4 1/2 inches diameter. This sample resembles A in general appearance, but the wood was somewhat darker. It had a strong camphorous odour. Voltile oi, l 0.90%. The oil was quite distinct from that furnished by sample A |
