Notes: | Label source: A pale-coloured timber, straight grained and is easy to work. Generally acknowledged an all-round, useful timber, but it is becoming scarce. It is very slow in seasoning, but does not shrink, or swell with changes in humidity. The whitish p, articles in the timber consist of an organic substance known as gmelinol. Coastal districts of New South Wales to Southern Queensland. H = Soft. W = about 34 lbs per cubic foot. |
