Notes: | Label source: Bridge piles, very durable in fresh water. The bark of the tree yields Balata, a kind of Gutta percha, which is manufactured into machinery belting etc., hence the tree is not allowed to be cut from the Crown Forests although plentiful. Tim, bers of British Guiana. |
