Notes: | Label source: British Honduras Chamber of Commerce. A most durable wood which works up handsomely in furniture. It is very abundant in all parts of the Colony and would be useful where a bearing strain is needed, such as clockwork or bridges. Long stra, ight logs of good girth could be got, as the trunk towers up without branches. On account of its density it will not float. Used locally in house-framing and for axe and tool handles. If interested write to The Secretary, Brit Hond Chamber of Commerce,, Belize. | ||||
