| Notes: | Label source: Large sparsely branched shrub or small tree, with thick straight shoots to 4m tall or branched stems to 8 cm dbh. Leaves very large in primary shoots. Common in: A. 2nd growth, rocky Abies-Pinus cloud forest with dense Quercus- Alnus-Arbut, us-Senecio-Salvia-Solanum, 'Capulin de Virgen' understory. B. Moist basalt cliffs, on very top of ridge. Top of BOSQUEES DE SAN FRAN. ca. 10km E of Ocampo (ca. 20 km NE of Zitacuaro) Alt. ca 3400-3600m | ||||
