Notes: Current use by the Cubeo indigenous group; made by men but used by women. Mat used to place fish, meat, chilli pepper on to smoke foods as a preservation process. The shelf is hung over the fire where it receives smoke and heat. Strips from the petiole, of ibacaba (Oenocarpus bacaba) are tied with yare vine (Heteropsis flexuosa). The 2 grids are separated with a pole of yarumo (Cecropia sp.)x0Dx0ANew determination (2019): C.sciadophylla Mart.
