Notes: Indirubin made from woad by Robin Hill. Indirubin is alsways present in indigo dyed textiles in history. Indoxil converts to indirubin. Woad leaves are cooked and isatin is added to the strained water, then ammonia is added to turn it alkali. Indirubi, n preciptiates. Can be used as a reference. Indirubin is used to check how much indigo you can get out of leaves.
