Form is variable from single to many stems and upright to spreading. Bark mid grey, smooth, inner bark greenish. Long paired thorns at nodes. Leaves, mid bright green, recently flushed and immature. Spicate inflorescences; flowers very lightly scented, calyx and corolla green, stamens and style pale greenish white, anthers yellow green fading yellow brown.
