| Notes: | Note from FHO Forest Herbarium Oxford: Part of holotypex0Dx0Ax0Dx0AFlora of Hondurasx0Dx0Ax0Dx0ACollecting note: Department: Yorox0Dx0AIn the heart of the lower Aguan valley close to the road running W from Olanchito about 31km from Olanchito or about 12km E of the village o, f San Lorenzo near the settlement of San Jeronimo on the N side of the Rio Aguan.x0Dx0Ax0Dx0ASmall twisted tree, branching heavily with a spreading crown to 5m ht. Bark greenish grey, smooth slightly shiny, covered in plae grey-brown pustulating leticels, inner b, ark green. Leaves recently flushed and immature, leaf rachis tinged reddish. Striking show of bright yellow flowers attracting numerous small bees. Calyx yellow or greenish yellow, petals bright vermillion, banner petal with yellow glands to the rear, sta, men filaments and style greenish yellow, densely white hairy at the base, anthers dirty yellow brown.
