Notes: Sleeping mat made by Wilfred Mukete (Limbe Botanic Garden). Made from split stems of Marantaceae growing near Etome. Bound with jungle rope made from inner bark layer of Cola -probably Cola lepidota. This is taught to children at school (but only those, who live in villages - not taught to children in Limbe). Most of this type of craft work seems to be done by men.
