| Notes: | Label source: Herbarium Kewensis. 35.5 km down right hand turning off Gaborone to Francistown road at Tropic of Capricorn towards Mahalapye. Shrub to 2.5m with long thorns to 5cm. Bark grey. Slash cream. Wood yellow. Site: open woodland-shrubland. Specie, s present; Many Acacia spp. including A. tortilis and A. nigrescens. The cover of grass is fair to good with Eragrostis rigidior of JT174 being dominant. Soil: sand. Other material: Photo ???? Carp. sample. Wood sample in Economic Botany Collection. Wakeh, urst Place Seed Bank. Duplicates: GAB. Wakehurst. Rapekenene (Botswana driver) says this is a good fuelwood. | ||||
