Notes: Label source: Several tanning barks are exhibited under the names of Kulit kayu, poko klat, poko kulim (S borneensis), poko paga anak, poko samak serai, bakau (Ruizophora conjugata), and poko samak palut. Most of these barks are of a dark colour; the l, ast is considered the best tanning bark in the country. Several of them are already under examination and will probably be reported on in these pages before the close of the Exhibition. The term kulit, ie bark, forms part of the name given in Europe to, the aromatic bark of Cinnamomum kulilaqan, ie Kulit Lawan.
