Notes: Label source: Herb. No. 857. According to Motley, note with his specimen no 857 1859, Borneo in Herb Kew, The gum is said to be used as adulterant for inferior kind of Gutta percha. It is unsaleable alone. From the seed is expressed an oil used for lam, ps and when fresh for cooking. Grows in deep bogs where its roots are under water 5 months of the year. Native name kotian.
