Notes: Label source: Nest of the Wool Bird, made partly of cotton from the seed of a species of convolvulus, and partly from sheep wool. Since the introduction of sheep into the colony the bird has made its nest more frequently of wool, plucked from the sheep,, as less trouble to gather than the smaller seed pods. Just below the entrance to the nest is a little pocket, in which the cock bird sits to guard the nest.
