Notes: Label source: This small plant is found in the hills of Muscat in Arabia, Persia, and Baluchistan. This sp is allied to Z bracteata, which sometime bears the same vernacular names. The small thick orbicular and glandular-dotted leaves have the odour of, thymol, and are credited with the carminative properties of thyme and mint. In Baluchistan the plant is said to be good for stomach complaints. A sample of broken stems and a few leaves labelled 'marjanjust' from Teheran had the characters of this plant, .
