| Notes: | Label source: In the central depression of Chiapas close to the road running from Tuxtla Gutierrez towards the small town of Villa de Acala on the N side of the Rio Grijalva, about 18km east of Tuxtla. Large tree to 20m ht., forked near the ball base wi, th heavy branching; dbh 60cm. Bark mid grey brown, flaking in shaggy strips, inner bark green, bark slash deep pinkish red, exuding blood red sap. Leaves recently flushed and immature, mid green glossy above. Heavy crop of unripe fruits, pale yellow gre, en and glossy. Infrequent or rare along stream banks in an area of highly degraded dry deciduous forest with Ceiba, Acacia, Leucaena, Piscidia, Enterolobium and Swietenia. | ||||
