| Notes: | Label source: Close to the road running N from the small town of Chicoasen towards Copainala and La Nueva on slopes above the Rio Grijalva about 3km from Chicoasen or about 40km N of the state capital Tuxtla Gutierrez. Medium-sized tree to 12m hight; he, avily branched with a spreading crown; dbh 30cm. Bark smooth light grey, inner bark green with a granular orange inner layer. Foliage mid green. Ripe pods shedding with the seeds remaining attached to the individual pod valves after dehiscence. Infreq, uent, scattered in highly degraded dry forest with Senna atomaria, Gyrocarpus americanus and Lonchocarpus acuminatus. | ||||
