Reported upon by Messrs Ide & Christie as follows - It is known to Europeans as Poto Novo Grass, used for stuffing pillows etc. It is of a bad colour namely brown instead of creamy white, very short, all stringy, not flat, and open. It would however do for some tying purposes quite as well as Madagascar Raffia. The value might be hazarded at 20 pounds sterling per ton. | ||||
