Notes: Label source: This is a handsome medicinal fern. Vati Vati is its name in the Bua Province. Vativatua the Colo West, and Vasi Vasi the Nadroga name. Fijians use the fronds of this fern (equally when covered with sori or in its in younger stage) Making a, drink with cold water for any use as a cure for colds. Feverish air passages, that is to say any fever and soreness in the throat and lungs. The roots are pounded and chewed with the leaves or used as a cold water decoction from the same. This is drunk or, gargled, also sniffed up the nostrils. It is useful after an illness and it has tonic properties. Taken from notes by Richard Parham Suva Fiji.
