Notes: Label source: Letter dated Sept 23 1922 (re-submitted to Director Sept 26 1922 - 1st copy mislaid) Major Foster, acknowledge the receipt of his letter of the 8th ultimo and in reply to say that the specimens submitted for identification appear to be the, corms of a species of Moraea a genus of Iridaceae usually regarded as being poisonous to cattle. The species cannot be determined without flowers; but if these could be supplied he would be pleased to examine them with a view to giving the specific name, . Letter 415. 1922: XIV p.297.
