Notes: Label source: A firm-textured pinkish-brown to greyish-brown timber posessing as cider-like odour. It is somewhat ' free' and inclined to split during seasoning. Tougher to work than Queensland Maple, but can be readily glued, stained, and polished. The, wood is used in Northern New South Wales & Queensland for above uses. It is not regarded as a durable timber in damp situations. The pale coloured sapwood is liable to attack by the Powder Post Borer (Lyctus sp.). It grows to a large tree confined to the, rainforests of the Macpherson range in New South Wales and Queensland. H - Hard. W - about 45 lbs per cubic foot.
