Notes: Label source: This wood is the same as that passing under the name of Prince wood and Spanish Elm in Jamaica. Although rather scarce this wood is locally considered one of the best native woods. It weighs about 35 lbs per cubic foot, is strong and durabl, e, easy to work and of a light brown colour. It takes a good polish and is in much request for furniture etc. It is a fast growing tree but existing plantations will not mature for several years.
